TheHxliday is an 18-year-old rapper from Maryland who was recently featured on Lyrical Lemonade with is hit song Mistakes. Hxliday can be described as an “emo” rapper akin to Ian Dior or Xxxtentacion. Still, he’s made it a point that he wants to prove to the world that he is himself and has the goal of one-day having people compare other artists to him. Hxliday is a melodic singer who raps over soft fast-paced beats where he displays his singing capabilities and range attached to his variety of flows. He grew up listening to bands like My Chemical Romance and Green Day thanks to his mom, and you can hear the rock influence in his beat selection and melodies. His song Enemy, which dropped a year ago, is what really got the momentum going for him. It has racked up close to 4.91 million plays on Soundcloud and 1.1 million views on Youtube. He capped off the year with his recent hit song Mistakes, which garnered 1.39 million plays on Soundcloud and 3.2 million views with the Cole Bennett directed music video on Youtube. This was a tremendous cosign for Hxliday, and despite all the comparisons to Juice Wrld and Swae Lee, TheHxliday has the potential to build a unique discography and cement himself into the emo-rock rap sound and become his generations next rockstar.
