DJ Charel Zeitoune

Meet Charel ‘Dj Charel’ Zeitoune, a seasoned veteran in the world of DJing and music production. With over 13 years of experience under his belt, Charel continues to hone his craft to perfection and aspired to become a true master of his art. He is a rising artist working in the electronic house realm, known for his specialties in tech house, progressive house, and groove house. But, what sets Charel apart is his open format style, allowing him to work with all genres and acoustically deliver a unique sound.

But where did it all begin? Charel credits his inspiration to none other than the late, great Avicii. The Swedish DJ's unique style and innovative approach to music production were what initially sparked Charel's interest in the world of electronic music. Today, Charel continues to draw inspiration from the likes of Wax Motif, Martin Garrix, and Chris Lake, who are widely considered to be the masters of their craft. He has produced tracks that emulate the soundscapes of these artists and more.

For Charel, music is a way of life. He's the type of person who constantly has music playing in the background, no matter what he's doing. It's a constant source of inspiration and motivation for him, and it's a part of who he is. It's this passion that has led to Charel performing at some of the most prestigious venues in cities like New York, Miami, Tel Aviv, and Philadelphia.

When it comes to his creative process, Charel has a unique approach. He starts by immersing himself in music, letting it wash over him, and inspiring new ideas. Once he has a melody or idea in mind, he begins playing it out on his MIDI keyboard, adding drums, and gradually building the song from there. He then works with a vocalist to see if they can find a flow and work with it and based on that, they keep or revise the song.

Charel's dream collaborations include Wax Motif, Chris Lake, Fisher, and John Summit, all of whom he considers to be true masters of their craft. His top three albums of all time are United We Are by Hardwell, Stories by Avicii, and Until Now by Swedish House Mafia. Some of his favorite songs include “Spaceman” by Hardwell and “Reload” by Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash.

Since the age of 10, Charel has been producing music for all ears. The Brooklyn native later began exercising his musical talents toward much larger audiences. He has gained worldwide attention for his remixes on SoundCloud, and that has ultimately led to producing his own music and developing his name as an artist.

As an artist, Charel's goal is to create music that is not only meant to be danced to, but music that people can sing along to, that makes them feel something, and that helps them cope with mental health issues. He wants to play at festivals and headline more clubs than he has already headlined, and make a real impact on the world of electronic music. And he's not just talking the talk, he's also walking the walk. Charel has big plans for 2023, with label releases, singles, EPs, his debut album, shows, and his first tour planned for this year. He is motivated to make this year count by releasing a series of EPs that not only represent his native tongue but also artists that continue to influence his musical melodies every day.

Throughout his career, Charel has had the opportunity to perform alongside notable artists such as Luke Alexander, Crankdat, Joris Voorn, Borgeous, Lost Frequencies, JSTJR, and Twinsick, among many others. Some of the venues he has performed at include Marquee and Lavo in New York City, Mondrian Hotel and Sway in Miami, and Blossom and Pace in Philadelphia.
